Factory Tours now on AirBnB
It's finally here! We have already started to host small and large groups at the factory for a sneak-peak of the bean to bar process.
The tour is divided in two parts. First is the theory; where we will discuss a brief about cacao's history leading upto modern day chocolate. We also discuss the the process of harvest. fermentation and drying of cocoa beans that our lovely associated farmers do for us. We talk about the entire bean to bar process and end the theory with a little tasting.. of chocolate of course!
We then move on to the factory floor. We see the machines (some with processing taking place, some without) that were discussed in the first half. It amazes people when they complete the tour and appreciate the kind of effort that goes into making a bean to bar chocolate. As a part of the tour, we also giveaway a bar of chocolate to each individual.
